Payment and Cancellation Policy

1. Reservation

1.1 After receiving an offer via email or by phone, a written reservation needs to be sent to the hotel. With this reservation, the guest accepts the payment and storno policy of the hotel. In the reservation the following data must be included: date of arrival and departure, name of the guests and the childern's date of birth. The reservation process is finished, when our colleagues send you a written comfirmation of the booking.

2. Terms of cancellation

2.1. General Terms of cancellation:

2.1.1. Any cancellation or modification of the reservation must be communicated in writing.
2.1.2. Bookings can be cancelled up to the 30th day before arrival without penalty payment.
2.1.3. From the 29th to the 21st day before arrival: the deposit paid can be converted into a hotel voucher, which can be used within 1 year from the date of issue. A handling charge of HUF 10,000 is deducted from the deposit for issuing the voucher. If the customer does not request a voucher, the deposit paid is charged as a penalty.
2.1.4. From the 20th to the 15th day before arrival: the deposit paid can be converted into a hotel voucher, which can be used within 1 year from the date of issue. A handling charge of 10% of the total booking amount is deducted from the deposit for issuing the voucher. If the customer does not request a voucher, the deposit paid is charged as a penalty.
2.1.5. In the case of cancellations from the 14th day before arrival, the full amount of the deposit paid is charged as a penalty.
2.1.6. If the cancellation is made on the day of arrival or the guest arrives later or leaves earlier than the confirmed check-in and check-out dates, respectively, the guest shall pay 100% of the amount confirmed by the hotel for the entire period booked.
2.1.7. If the Contracting Party has not secured his or her booking of accommodation-services with an advance payment, credit card guarantee or another means specified in the Contract, and does not arrive until 6:00 p.m. according to local time on the day of arrival, or does not preliminary indicate that he or she will arrive at a later time the Service Provider shall charge at least one day's accommodation fee specified in the Contract as a penalty. In this case the Service Provider shall reserve the accommodation for the Contracting Party until 10:00 a.m. on the day following the day of arrival and then his service provision obligation shall terminate.
2.1.8. Unexpected situations (illness, accident, other family events, adverse weather conditions, transport disruptions, etc.) may occur before or during travel. Therefore, we recommend taking out a travel cancellation insurance policy with a provider of your choice on the day the reservation is made.
2.1.9. In case of special and promotional offers, the terms of cancellation shall be regulated by the offer.
2.1.10. Repayment of services (accommodation, meals, treatments etc.) booked but not used by the Guest during his or her staying in the Hotel or modified by him or her is not possible.
2.1.11. In the case of booking of products subject to special conditions, group travels or programmes, the Service Provider may specify conditions different from the above in a special Contract.
2.1.12. The terms and conditions for the rescission of the Contracting Party are governed by the effective Government Decree (No. 45/2014 (II.26)).

2.2. In the case of non-refundable but modifiable bookings:

2.2.1. The reservation cannot be cancelled free of charge after the deposit has been paid. In case of cancellation, the full amount of the deposit paid is charged as a penalty.
2.2.2. Unexpected situations (illness, accident, other family events, adverse weather conditions, transport disruptions, etc.) may occur before or during travel. Therefore, we recommend taking out a travel cancellation insurance policy with a provider of your choice on the day the reservation is made.

3. Modification of reservation

3.1. General Terms of Modification:

3.1.1. In all cases, changes to reservations shall be made in writing.
3.1.2. Finalised and confirmed bookings may be changed to another date, and the number of guests or room type may be modified subject to current rates and availability, with payment of the applicable fees, no later than 2 days before arrival. Modification requests made within 2 days prior to arrival will be subject to the cancellation policy. (2.1.5.)

  • Up to 30 days before arrival: free of charge
  • From the 29th to the 21st day before arrival, HUF 10,000/occasion.
  • From the 20th to the 15th day before arrival, 10% of the grand total of the booking/occasion.
  • From the 14th to the 2nd day before arrival, 15% of the grand total of the booking/occasion.
  • On the day before or on the day of arrival, the full amount of the deposit paid is charged as a modification fee. 

3.2. In the case of non-refundable but modifiable bookings

  • From the 29th to the 15th day before arrival, 15% of the grand total of the booking/occasion.
  • From the 14th to the 2nd day before arrival, 20% of the grand total of the booking/occasion.
  • On the day before or on the day of arrival, the full amount of the deposit paid is charged as a modification fee. 

4. Terms of payment

4.1 50-70% of the total cost of the vacation is to be paid as advance payment by postal cheque or bank transfer in 5 calendar days after the Provider's confirmation, and a copy of the advance payment voucher (including the name, address, order number, tax number and address in case of a VAT invoice demand) is to be sent to the Provider.
4.2 In the event the period between the booking and arrival is 3 days or less, the full amount shall be paid by the guest on arrival at the hotel reception.
4.3 In case of special offers the payment terms may change and will be contained in the confirmation sent in writing.
4.4 If payments are not settled the booking is automatically deleted.
4.5 Acceptable means of payment: Cash, remittance, credit card
4.6 All costs related to any method of payment shall be charged to the Contracting Party or his or her credit card.
Travel bureaus / Tour operators / OTAs / Cooperating partners:
The contract signed with the service provider shall contain the specific payment terms.
4.7 Gift ticket: The gift ticket may be used only within the term and value specified thereon depending on the available capacities. The ticket shall become void after the expiry.
